Discovery Science Center and Endeavor

We visited the California Science Center while Grandma and Grandpa Cows were here.

We stopped by to see the scuba diver in the aquarium tank talk about the fish inside. They had quite a few sharks and other species in there.

There was another area studying watersheds and erosion which equaled lots of water to play with. All the kids loved this area.
The Museum of Flight is currently housed in the Science Center, and here Evelyn was flying a simulator plane like the one the Wright brothers invented.

Gordon in one of his weird faces next to astronaut paraphernalia.

This guy loves airplanes, especially the fast ones.

The shuttle Endeavor was on display. We only got the whole shuttle in this frame with Grandpa's wide angle lens.

All of us under the shuttle.

There were lots of items on display in the shuttle room. This is a space pod. We got to see the astronaut toilet too, which the kids thought was hilarious. There were placards all around the shuttle room, one for each shuttle launch date. All the adults had fun reading them, but the kids got bored after a while.
After we toured the Science Center, we went to the IMAX theater next door and watched "Hubble 3D." It was so cool!

Here's another big plane, I'll leave it to Ben to name.

 The kids on bike racks.

Gordon making a face. This was a day well spent!

That looks like fun! I'm happy to finally see some pictures. :)

Yesterday afternoon the boys were outside throwing a ball and bat around and were talking about playing ball with Evelyn last time you guys were here. And I thought to myself, "I can't wait to see them. And for the kiddos to play together." (So funny now that I read the comments you guys left on our blog)

Tyler is taking the whole wedding week off, so we'll have lots of time to play at Grandma's house! :)
